ASID TXGC 2019 River Oaks Show House

I’m so excited and honored to be a part of the American Society of Interior Designers Texas Gulf Coast Chapter’s (ASID TXGC) 2019 Show House in the exquisite River Oaks neighborhood.

The kitchen was in the process of being finished when I became involved with the showhouse. I got to design the finishing touches. They encompass a luxurious and sophisticated look. Generally when designing, I like to put accent colors in the chairs, flowers, drapery, and chandeliers, while keeping larger fixtures such as cabinets, flooring, and paint more neutral. The beautiful pops of color and accents in this kitchen can be found in the custom blue counter stools and hydrangea to the left in the rendering below. The project was completed with the beautiful window treatment by The Shade Store, and I cannot wait for you to see the creation David Brown Flowers made for the showhouse!

Isn’t it cool to see a rendering? Come see it in-person and compare the real life kitchen to this rendering — it is so fun to see how similar it looks!

As far as the rest of the house, 20 other top interior designers from Houston collaborated with Rallin Welch of Welch Builders and Brokers to feature the different styles of each designer within this home as well. The home is valued at $3.9 million, spans 6,886 square feet, and is located in the beautiful district of River Oaks in Houston. It’s a three-story home and perfect for a family containing 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, a veranda, wine cellar, game room, and more.

Opening day to view the home are form June 15th-30th on Thursdays and Fridays from 10-5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11-5 p.m.
